Shanna was the winner of my free photography giveaway and I had so much fun getting to know her and her awesome husband (who just so happens to be named after a Tyrannosaurus Rex...Kort didn't LOVE that or anything, he is now mild to moderately peeved that his name is simply Kortland James). They were hilarious and warm and I thoroughly enjoyed this photo shoot. They went to the same high school, but never "connected that way" while there. Later, when Shanna was preparing to leave on an LDS mission, she needed a "safe date" for a night out with friends. You know the kind. It's a date...but it's SAFE because you go on it with a guy that you can totally go out with
just before you leave on a mission because
there is no way that you'll be attracted to him, completely enamoured with him, and falling head over heels in love with him right before you're supposed to leave on that...um...what was it called again? Oh a mission. That's right. ...it was that kind of safe date. 16 years (and no mission) later, (well, at least, no mission for Shanna, that is...) they are still going strong and more in love than ever. I could tell. I know these sorts of things. These are some of my favorites. I hope they love them. I certainly loved taking them.
